Albertans, including patients, families and the public now have greater flexibility when wanting to get valuable information from Alberta Health Services (AHS). Voice activated personal assistants Amazon Alexa, and the Google Assistant application are now available to answer AHS specific voice commands, that include providing up-to-the-minute estimated emergency department wait times, influenza immunization clinic times and locations, and the latest AHS news.

The My Care Conversations app is a smart phone application that will allow patients to record their conversations with their cancer care team to help reduce the stress and assist with recall and understanding. Patients and families that use the app will be empowered to take a more active role in their healthcare by being able to record and re-listen to their conversations.

WorkTrax captures time spent providing standardized categories of patient care activities and also identifies how the pharmacy staff member interacted with the patient and/or their family. No patient identifying information is captured in the WorkTrax application.
