VALLEYVIEW — Laboratory and diagnostic imaging (DI) appointments, and walk-in x-ray services, have resumed at the Valleyview Healthcare Centre (VHC).
Any pre-booked appointments for these services will continue as planned, starting immediately. Appointments may be booked online at QMe (dynalife.ca) or by phone by calling 1-877-702-4486. Access to walk-in lab appointments will be assessed over the next week.
Valleyview Healthcare Centre has also resumed booking appointments for the Outpatient Clinic (780-524-3356).
Clients who missed appointments due to the wildfire are being contacted directly by AHS to be rescheduled as soon as possible.
Valleyview Healthcare Centre emergency department reopened on May 18.
Patient safety and care remain our top priorities and we are working hard to ensure the community has care available. No additional services at Valleyview Healthcare Centre are re-opening at this time. Inpatient admissions continue to be paused. EMS remains available to the community and will transport patients to nearby facilities as needed.
The Valleyview Healthcare Centre, including long-term care, was temporarily evacuated and closed due to threat of local wildfires on May 15. AHS has been reaching out to families and loved ones of the evacuated inpatients and residents with information. If you have not been contacted, please reach out to HealthLink at 8-1-1 (patients) or Continuing Care Access at 1-855-371-4122 (residents).
We are extremely grateful for our frontline teams, staff and physicians who have come together to support the response across AHS.
