Rehabilitation

Information for Albertans

Allied Health professionals provide rehabilitation services in partnership with patients and families to support their wellness, quality of life, and improve their ability to participate actively and meaningfully in their lives and communities.

Whether it is in a hospital, clinic, community setting, long-term care facility, or other location, rehabilitation works to:

  • prevent or slow loss of function
  • maintain independence
  • recover from illness, injury, or surgery
  • manage long-term medical or neurological conditions
